Nice to meet you! My name is Bonnie and I’m a sleek little silver tabby girl with neat white patches and sweet green eyes. I love my people dearly but because I had a hard kittenhood, I am a reserved and reflective cat who likes to look before she leaps!
I’m a TLC cat, which means I came here as a kitten who had a rough time out on the streets trying to make it best I could. Since then, I have known what it is like to enjoy a safe and quiet space, and I would NOT like to go back outside!
I may look at you with a loving but timid expression waiting to see if you have gentle hands. Once I know this to be true, I like to roll over on your hands and offer a purr of jubilee. It’s not really in my nature to be overly confident or outgoing like my other cat friends.
I can be independent as I do appreciate my moments of solitude, watching a bird outside or basking in the sun. I am particularly fond of my own little precious spots I have claimed such as my bed or some high resting place like a beloved shelf or perch.
My friends endearingly call me Bonnie Bon Bon and sometimes at night before bed, I am told Bon Nuit! This is goodnight in French! I like it. With a gentle pitter patter of my dainty and purposefully soft paws, I will run to the door to greet you with my tail held high. Especially around dinner and breakfast and definitely if I see a favorite toy or treat. Otherwise, in the lazier of times, I will offer a chirp of welcome and a loving slow blink.
I ADORE play time! My favorite toys are leather strings, soft, wide ribbons and anything with feathers! I like when they move kinda fast back and forth and then I can pounce and feel pride with the catch.
At nap time I dream of someone to call my own that will appreciate my particular demeanor and know that it is not for lack of love that I am not outwardly affectionate right away but more of a careful habit to protect my little kitten heart form the noises and startles of the world.
I am about 1 year and 11 months old and will do best in a home without young children or dogs. I think dogs are scary.
While I might like to go home as a spoiled only princess of your castle, I also love my cat friends here in the sunroom I share at Happy Cats and wouldn’t mind going home with Sansa, Beanie, Miles or Autumn too, your choice!
As a TLC cat, I will need a family or person with extra patience, willing to let me blossom at my own pace. This means I may need about 2 months in a safe room, where I can learn how to trust my new family and acclimate to my new home.
Because I can go home with any of my friends, our Mixed Doubles adoption fee is only $100 for both of us! That includes our spay and/or neuter, vaccinations, microchips, food and litter starter kits, and a free well-kitty checkup each (please give me at least two months before you take me to see the vet) to help you get started.
As a TLC cat, I also come with everything you need to support me while I become the lovable companion, I know I can be. This includes a home installation by my favorite volunteers with tips for low stress handling and confidence building, a top/side loading carrier, my favorite toys & bedding and feline behavioral support if needed.
