Hi there, I’m Beanie! My friends call me the Queen Bean, and you can see why, with my luscious long locks. I was rescued from trying to survive outside near the creek with a lot of other kitties.
I have a very fluffy black coat with chocolate lowlights, like several of my family members. Fortunately, I love to be brushed and combed—especially my head!—so taking care of all that floof should be something we can bond over.
It may take me a little while to settle in but once I know I’m safe, I’m an affectionate little lady on my own terms. I love to greet my friends with headbonks, body bumps and loud purrs. I love it when you talk to me, call me by my name and tell me what you’re up to!
I will probably be your best Kitty Secretary, ready to follow you around and make sure your WFH tasks are going well. I’m not a big one for being held, but I will definitely make a great Sidecar cat.
They tell me I’m about 5 years old, but I still love to play like a kitten if I have the chance. Once I have my own family, I’ll love pouncing and stalking cat toys of my own. My favorite is my Cat Dancer and I love to lie on my back and try to catch it!
Because of my early rough handling, I’m a Say Please kitty who needs to give my consent for touch. You’ll be my hero if you can go slowly, quietly and let me tell you when to move forward or pull back. Bonus: I love it when I can choose to pet you!
I love my cat friends here in the sunroom I share at Happy Cats and wouldn’t mind going home with Bonnie, Autumn, Sansa or Miles too, your choice! We all may do well with another cat or two who is known to like other cats, with a gentle and slow introduction. We will blossom in a calm and quiet, stable environment with adults and older children to care for us and no dogs please.
As TLC cats, we will need a family or person with extra patience. I especially will need at least 2 months in our Safe Room, where we can learn how to trust our new family and acclimate to our new home. I will feel safe and adjust more quickly if I can have a cat tower or high perch to watch the world from.
Because I can go home with any of my friends, our Mixed Doubles adoption fee is only $100 for both of us! That includes our spay and/or neuter, vaccinations, microchips, food and litter starter kits, and a free well-kitty checkup each to help you get started. I also come with my favorite horizontal scratchers that I love to scratch and lie on.
My friends and I will do best with minimum travel to our new home and waiting at least a month until we are coming out and interacting in our home until you take us to the veterinarian.
As a TLC cats, we also come with everything you need to support us while we become the lovable companions we know we can be. This includes a home installation by our favorite volunteers with tips for low stress handling and confidence building, a top/side loading carrier, our favorite toys & bedding and feline behavioral support if needed.
