A tale of 3 kitties: Mr Miles, Meadow & Sansa

by

This unlikely trio had very different beginnings. Silver tabby Miles was a transfer from the Humane Society where he’d been surrendered when his people moved.

Floofy Meadowlark came from a trying to survive outside in a dangerous hoarding situation.

And spunky calico Sansa came in as a catolescent from a sister rescue when she was overlooked as a kitten.

Miles proved too anxious for the Biscuit Factory and his first adopter, loudly letting everyone know when he was stressed. Meadowlark ducked from petting, afraid she’d be left outside again. And Sansa was famous for giving us the Paw of Nope when we first tried to pet her.

But our behavior team worked their magic, and within a couple of months, Miles was calm, Meadowlark was settled and Sansa was allowing the team to worship her by hand 😻. We put them together in our sunny Boomer Room and they were buddies within weeks.

Janet & Bob were looking for a kitty family, having lost their previous cats to old age. They came in to meet Miles and Sansa, but saw what good friends they were with Meadowlark too, so all three went home.

They’ve become quite the blended family!

They take turns grooming each other and hanging out in their many sunny spaces.

Janet & Bob couldn’t be happier with their little Happy Cats family!

And fun fact…Miles still talks a lot, but mostly to tell his people about all the fun toys he gets to choose from now!
