Lux life for Eris & Nyx

by

Twin sisters Pixie & Dixie grew up trying to find shelter with their mom and siblings at a rough-&-tumble building supply site. They had probably needed to defend themselves from some people as well as predators and elements, so were a little suspicious of our intentions at first.

They graduated to our operations office, so our staff and volunteers had lots of time to help them learn that hands were safe. We built their trust by respecting their consent bubble, backing off to the Paw of Nope, as Pixie often told us!

Jonathan was looking for a bonded pair so they could keep each other company while he was at work.

He took the time to make sure the girls–now Eris and Nyx–had plenty of catification to keep them happy!

He says, “The girls are doing great! Eris was ready to leave the first day and has her two favorite spots. Nyx took a while longer to come out, but now she follows Eris to the high areas and keeps her spot in the bedroom.

Both girls are very receptive to being brushed and will push each other out of the way to get brushed more. It’s really cute!”
