Penelope in the Lap of Luxury

by

Penelope may have started life in the cold but now she enjoys the lap of luxury in her fur-ever home.

Penelope’s journey started in a Wyoming snowdrift, where she and her littermates were found as tiny kittens. Their first cat mom cared for her feline family for many years, but when she was diagnosed with terminal cancer, she couldn’t keep the family together. Despite her efforts to re-home them, not all of her cats found homes.

That’s where Happy Cats Haven came in. A friend of the shelter contacted us, and we drove to Wyoming to rescue Penelope and her siblings.

Penelope quickly found her forever home, where she now enjoys living – and sleeping! – in the lap of luxury. She quickly settled into her home where, according to her new cat mom, she loves to snuggle with her canine companion, indulge in late night zoomies, and curl up next to the electric fireplace.

From surviving the snowdrift to living the good life, Penelope’s story is a reminder of how far a little love and care can go.
