Laszlo was returned after his family got a very territorial cat who bullied him and his brother. Too scared to use the box, he was going outside it.

A Happy Cats friend fostered him in the hope he could fit in with their cats. Laszlo tried to win them over, but it just didn’t work out.

We happened to have a nice young catolescent who needed a friend and wondered if he might become Laszlo’s. Doug was a very sweet 5-month-old who let Laszlo lead the way.

Doug followed Laszlo’s cues. If he was getting belly rubs, Douggie watched then rolled over for rubs too! It wasn’t long before he’d won Laszlo over, and soon they were cuddling and grooming.

Not long after they bonded, Nikki and her family came to visit. Even though the boys were scared, Laszlo was the ambassador for them both and came out for belly rubs. The family had shy cat experience, so they trusted Doug would come around and brought them home.

And did he ever! Laszlo was first out of his carrier and the first thing he did was go into Doug’s to check on him. Their foster mom sent them home with their favorite little tree and beds to help them feel safe. Even now, that’s Laszlo’s favorite bed.

Hundreds of thousands of cats lose their lives each year because of litterbox issues, when they often just need a safe place to go and the problem is solved. We love graduating our Litterbox Lab cats into success every year!
