Jake & Stoney, brothers in arms

by

Stoney and Meatloaf came to us from a home full of young male cats, all unfixed. The older ones came and went home but Stoney and Meatloaf were clearly bonded.

Stoney was a turtle cat who took comfort under the blankets, but with the help of our loving volunteers, he got braver every day until he was out on top of the catification all the time.

Meatloaf was good with everyone and had Stoney’s back, showing him how to be brave.

Luckily for them, Diana came looking for a bonded pair and they fit the bill. She tells us, “We are so happy that we adopted Stoney and Meatloaf. They are adjusting to our home really well.

Stony is a little skittish at times and likes to hide in tall places but when he is with us he’s very loving and fun to be with. Last night he even jumped up into my lap and sat with me for a long time.

We renamed Meatloaf, Jake and he has taken to the name just fine. He loves to run up and down our long hallway and they both love playing with the laser light.”
