Meet our colorful Beverage Boys, Whiskey and Toddy! They came to us when they lost their guardian and were put out on the street. Whiskey is the handsome ginger tabby and Toddy is the white gent with Turkish van stripes on his head and tail.
Both boys started out as Funny Valentines, scared they were going to end up back on the street again. Our loving volunteers helped them recover their confidence and now they meet you at the door!
Toddy will probably be your Snuggle Bunny once they get settled with their new family, as he likes to cuddle in for laptime now, staring at you lovingly with those aqua eyes.
Whiskey is a bit more independent, observing the world carefully before he makes his move. He likes hanging out like any good Kitty Admin and will likely be a nice Sidecar Cat once you’ve earned his trust and he’s able to give his heart away again.
It’s estimated Whiskey is about a year old and Toddy about 2, so both are still active, playful cats. Whiskey is the prince of players, outwitting you every time with just about any cat wand, but especially the Cat Catcher!
You’ll have to remember to put wand toys away or you won’t have a toy left when you get home. Playtime is his favorite time of the day, paws down.
Toddy loves his playtime too, but will take a back seat to Whiskey so you’ll need to make sure he gets his daily time with the wand toys too.
Both boys love their own extended cat family and will probably do great with other cat-friendly cats. They’ll do best in a home without dogs or small children.
Both are Say Please cats, which means you’ll be their hero if you can go slowly, quietly and let them tell you when to move forward or pull back especially when getting to know them. Bonus: They love it when they can choose to pet you!
As TLC cats, these boys need a family or person with a little extra patience. They’ll do best if they have at least a couple of weeks in their Safe Room, where they can learn how to trust their new family and acclimate to their new home.
These buddies have each other’s backs, so will be happier if they’re adopted together. They can be adopted for $180 which includes their neuters, vaccinations, microchips, a food and litter starter kit each, and a free well-kitty checkup each to help you get started.
Whiskey especially will do best with minimum travel to their new home and waiting at least a month until he’s coming out and interacting in his home until you take them to the veterinarian.
As TLC cats, they also come with tips for low stress handling and confidence building, a top/side loading carrier each, their favorite toys & bedding and feline behavioral support if needed.
