Well hi there, I’m Violet. It’s so nice to make your acquaintance. I’m a rich brown tabby lady with soft amber eyes, luscious long whiskers and the round build and face of an American Shorthair, just no fancy papers to go with. You can see I survived a hard life on the streets with my tipped-ear badge of courage.
I came here when my people had to move and I needed to find a new family. It’s been scary and confusing for me but my friends at the Haven have helped me feel safe and ready to move on.
Like my name, I can be shy Funny Valentine at first. It may take me a little while to come out of my safe place, but I’m just about the most loving little Snuggle Bunny you’re likely to meet, once we’ve had a proper introduction.
I turn on the purrs when you say my name and love leaning in for pets. I make the best biscuits! I will probably be a lap kitty once I’m all settled in with my new family.
At only about 2 years old, I still love a little gentle playtime every day. Big toys scare me, but small ones like pipe cleaners or quiet Cat Dancer play will make my day!
Because of my rough start, time is the most important gift for me, with time in my Safe Room to adapt to my new home and to bond with you. This will be a quiet space with places for me to tuck into so I can observe for a while and build confidence.
Please plan on giving me at least a month in my Safe Room before having access to the rest of the house. I’ll do best in a quieter home with no dogs or small children. I may be able adapt to other nice cats in time, as long as they’re quiet like me.
I’ll do best with minimum travel to my new home and waiting at least a month until I’m coming out and interacting until you take me to the veterinarian.
As a TLC cat, I also come with everything you need to support me while I become the lovable companion I know I can be. This includes a home installation by our favorite volunteer with tips for low stress handling and confidence building, a top/side loading carrier, my favorite toys & bedding and feline behavioral support if needed.
I can be adopted for $120, which includes my spay, microchip, vaccinations, a food & litter starter kit plus a free well-kitty checkup with one of our wonderful partner vets. I can’t wait to meet you!
