Well, hi there, I’m Star. My friends call me Starbaby and I’m ready to be your baby cat furever! I’m a sleek black cat with the rugged tipped-ear badge of courage that tells you I survived being on the street as a youngster.
I came here when I lost my first human and then my second one wasn’t able to care for me. I was very sad and shut down at first, but now I’m ready to give my heart away again.
Because of everything I’ve been through, I may start out as a Funny Valentine at first, watching from somewhere secluded until I know I’m safe. Once I know I can trust you, though, you will have a total Snuggle Bunny on your hands. I can spend hours just curled up on your lap, purring my little whiskers off.
At about 8 years old, I’m in my prime, and ready to pounce and play at the drop of a cat toy! I love just about any kitty wand that you’re on the other end of. I also enjoy a little catnip now and then 😻.
I have lived at Happy Cats for many months and will need at least 2 months in my Safe Room, a quiet space to learn to trust and love my new family.
I came here with my sister Autumn, and would do fine if adopted with her, but what I really want is to find that special person who can love me for me, so I can be your One & Only fierce little princess. I will bloom into my best self with adults only and no dogs or other cats besides Autumn, please!
My former guardian said I marked my territory, but I have not done that since I came back to Happy Cats. They work hard to solve behaviors like this by finding out what cats need. We think that, as long as my litterbox is scooped daily and I have a quiet and predictable home, I will be as good with my new family as I am here!
As a TLC cat, I come with everything you need to support me while I become the lovable companion, I know I can be. This includes a home installation by my favorite volunteers with suggestions for low stress handling and confidence building, a top/side loading carrier, my favorite toys & bedding, my usual food & litter starter kit, a free well-kitty checkup with one of our partner vets (please give me at least two months before you take me in) and feline behavioral support if needed.
