Pleased to meet you. My name is Rocket, although every once in a while I will answer to “Rockyâ€. I just can’t get enough people time. I’m cautious around strangers, but as long as they’re kind I warm up fast.
I enjoy being talked to, picked up and held with my head over your shoulder. I’m content to quietly settle next to you and purr while you work, as long as you toss me a soft toy from time to time and don’t mind if I talk.
My friends say I talk a lot (and that I have the cutest old man meow, because I do)! When I’m sung to I often join in or climb up close to your face to get a better listen.
I prefer not being alone and I’m still working through some anxious behaviors related to losing my longtime home and family. I need someone(s) who will give me lots of love while making sure I feel safe in the face of new experiences.
I had some digestive issues when I first came to Happy Cats, but now that I’m on a special diet with the help of our friends at Fox Run Vet, I’ve regained much of my energy, even some muscle, and I can play and jump like I always wanted too. I’m looking for a family who will keep an eye on that to keep me healthy, working with a vet as needed.
After getting my spark back, I’m a play machine, as you can see in my video! My favorite is chasing yarn or shoelaces, so a human whose willing to move with me would be much appreciated.
Even though I’m declawed I like to get my paws grooving on horizontal and low profile cat scratchers. When it’s time to chill I cruise around various high places, like windowsills, counters and the back of the couch to find the perfect comfy spot. I would really like a cat tower next to your chill spot or work space so that I can stay close to you.
I’m ready for some much deserved “me†time. If you promise to make me your one and only fur boy I’ll make it so worth your while with wet noses and head bonks! I have a lot of love to give, so if you think you could give me the same, then please contact Happy Cats and let’s arrange a meet.
