Hi there! My name is Piper, and I’m a beautiful silver-gray lady with a snowy white chest, tummy, and little white mittens. At 11 years young, I’ve learned that life is sweetest when it’s filled with gentle affection, sunny windows, and someone special to love.
My story began when I was discovered as a tiny kitten hiding in the pipes beneath a house. That’s how I got my name! Since then, I’ve grown into a calm, peaceful companion who would much rather spend her day birdwatching from a window than causing any trouble.
I may take a little while to open up to new people. In fact, it can take me some time to feel completely comfortable in a new home. But once I decide you’re one of my people, I’ll seek out your affection and companionship. My foster family says I’m incredibly gentle and trusting. Even though I need daily eye drops, I patiently allow them to care for me without any scratching or biting. That’s just the kind of girl I am.
One of my favorite things in the world is sitting in a cat tree by a window and watching everything happening outside. I could happily spend hours observing birds, squirrels, and the changing weather. I also enjoy the occasional feather toy or string toy when I’m feeling playful.
I’m looking for a special adopter who understands that every cat is unique. I have glaucoma in both eyes and require eye drops every day to keep me comfortable. I also have some litter box preferences. I insist on a simple, uncovered litter box without any fancy self-cleaning features. I will need a patient, understanding family willing to help me succeed.
While I can coexist with some cats given proper introductions and plenty of space, I would be happiest as your one and only pet. I tend to be nervous around other animals and prefer a peaceful environment where I don’t have to worry about sharing my people. I also seem to have a special fondness for women.
What I really want is simple: a quiet home, a sunny window, a comfortable place to nap, and someone who will love me exactly as I am. I’m not perfect, but I’m sweet, gentle, and full of love for the person willing to give me a chance.
