Hi there, I’m Big Mike, but my friends call me Pooh Bear because I’m basically one big soft, lovable teddy bear. I’m an 8-year-old tabby guy with a heart just as big as my name, and my favorite things in life are comfort, kindness, and being close to my people. I’ve been through a lot in my life, so now I’m hoping to find a peaceful, predictable forever home where I can finally relax and just be loved.

I’m wonderfully friendly with people, do well with respectful children, and have lived happily with other cats. I’ve even shown curiosity about calm, cat-friendly dogs with proper introductions. Once I settle in, I’m the kind of companion who will quietly become your little shadow, keeping you company during lazy afternoons and cozy evenings at home.

Before coming here, I was originally a TNR kitty in Arkansas, so sometimes I can take a little time to fully feel safe in a new environment. I really thrive on routine and stability, and I’d love a patient adopter who understands that trust takes time but is so worth it. Underneath my big frame and serious expression is just a sensitive, affectionate boy who wants to feel secure and loved.

There are also a couple things you should know about me! I’ve had all my teeth removed, which honestly just adds to my charm, and I’m currently working on losing a little weight with a healthy wet food diet and more playtime. I’m also very particular about my litterbox habits. I like my boxes extra clean and big enough for me to comfortably turn around in. Having at least three large litterboxes in different areas of the home will help me feel my best and set me up for success.
