Meet Lulu & Lana, our pretty buff and pastel tortie daughter-mother pair! They came to us when their person needed to travel too much and wanted them to have a more loving home.
Both are affectionate ladies who will be wonderful Kitty Admins once they settle in with their new family as they love to be wherever you are. They like to be brushed and petted, then go off to do their own thing.
They come with a tall cat tree they love to birdwatch from and scratch appropriately. If you have a catio or safe outside situation, they would think they were in heaven! They are curious ladies and love to check out new toys, boxes or anything new.
Mama Lana is just a few months older than Lulu, but at about 5 years each, they still love it when you get out the kitty wands. Lana tends to take over, but Lulu is right there grabbing for the toy if she gets a chance. Their best playdate would be two people playing with them at the same time!
You can see that Lulu is a little plumpalicious and would benefit from regular exercise through play, though she goes up and down their tall cat tree like a champ. They also need to be schedule fed so Lulu doesn’t eat any food besides her own. She has lost a pound already since she’s been at Happy Cats just by watching their food choices and limiting their food a bit.
The ladies do well with mellow, cat friendly dogs and will probably nose and rub on them once they know they’re safe, like they did with their dog friends at their last home. Just make sure that Lulu doesn’t have access to the dog’s food, as she likes that just as much as cat food!
They don’t enjoy being picked up but should do fine with older children. They may be good with other cats, but that hasn’t been tested.
Along with their 6′ cat tree, they come with a huge bed plus two others for snuggling and their favorite cat brush, plus the Cat Dancer they love.
They can be adopted together for $150 which includes their spays, vaccinations, microchips, food and litter starter kits, and a free well-kitty checkup each to help you get started.
