Hey there, it’s Izzy, the sharp dressed tuxedo lady. Yep, that’s Lily with me, the dark torbie lady with the cute bunny tail, a beautiful Manx mix. But yes we’re sisters and if you look closely you can see the family resemblance with our white cheeks, vests and paws.
When we were little, we had the purrfect little family with our patient catmom, and doggie friend who loved us and groomed us as kittens. We loved playing with them both and snuggling together at night.
Then things began to change. She wasn’t able to care for us like she did and things just started to disappear. First it was our dog friend. Then the furniture. Then our catmom.
Other people showed up, relatives we were told. We tried hard to be friends with them, coming out and purring after a few days. Even learned to sleep with them too. But then we were scooped up and ended up back here.
We’ve spent a couple weeks being Wallflowers, tucked under or behind the nearest bed, adjusting to all the crazy new sounds and voices and smells. Honestly, we miss our catmom, but we’re now we’re ready to start over.
I’m the turtle, the one who burrows under the bed for safety. That leaves Lily out front, though that’s usually not her thing.
All we need is a few soft words, especially if you know our names. We figure we must have met somewhere along the way, right? Lily will lean in first, just because I’ve taken the best hidey holes. But once I hear you call me? I’ll emerge blinking like that famous groundhog, ready for love too.
We didn’t get a chance to celebrate, but we’ve just had our third birthdays. So we’re still kittens at heart who will love to play and pounce once we’re all settled in again with our new family. We’ll probably be great little Kitty Admins who take charge of all the life coaching you’ll ever need.
We haven’t met any other cats, but if you have a sweet, cat-savvy doggo, we’ll probably be good friends once we know we’re safe. Another cat might be good if they aren’t too pushy. Patient kids who can give us the grace to come out at our own pace will help us bloom again.
We can be adopted for $180 which includes our spays, vaccinations, microchips, food and litter starter kits, and a free well-kitty checkup each to help you get started. All we want is a family who will love us for who we are. Would that be you?
