Hope you like sandpaper kisses. Because once you’ve earned Dolly’s love and trust, that’s her favorite way to show it. She also enjoys snuggling up close to your face or just underneath the edge of the blankets at bedtime. This tuxedo kitten loves all types and ages of people, but her love doesn’t come free. She is cautious around strangers (rightfully so after a bumpy early start on the streets).
A gentle approach that involves giving her time and respectful space goes a long way with Dolly and is well worth it. She’s friendly with the whole family, but if you become her special person she’ll follow you room to room and be your personal confidant. She’ll even enjoy having you carry her in your arms from time to time, so long as you let her down right when she asks – a girl has things to do after all.
Dolly is an energetic, clever gal. How clever you ask? Her favorite toys are cat puzzle boxes and tower tracks which she solves with ease. She’s even worked the zippers open on a play pen and carrier before. She shows all the signs of being a great candidate for clicker or verbal command training.
She also loves to chase yarn and shoelaces if there is a friend with thumbs willing to oblige. You may have guessed but be sure to provide lots of play and healthy stimulation for this girl, or she will make her own fun. Her best bud Carson really helps her direct her energy and curiosity in positive directions.
They would do best in a home without young children or active dogs. Would likely do well with other friendly cats. Dolly and Carson must be adopted together.
