Well, hello there! My name is Dolly to match my beautiful, silky, tortoiseshell-tabby fur, expressive emerald-green eyes, and adorable short tail. I came to Happy Cats Haven after my person passed away. I’m looking for a special family to be my forever home. Will you take me home?
I am a dignified 11 years old, but don’t let that “senior” tag fool you. I’m a cheeky girl with gobs of personality, smarts, and sass. I love to play with any toy that you drag along the floor and bat at strings and small toys.
I love hopping into boxes filled with brown paper and tissue paper to fish for tiny toys at the bottom. After surveying my lands with satisfaction, I jump into the nearest lap and snuggle in.
I’m a very polite lady and will head-bunt you with my thanks, to let you know how safe I feel, and when it’s time for my mid-afternoon cat nap. My waitstaff tells me that I constantly outsmart them in exchange for some more dedicated one on one time.
I’m also very affectionate and love to purr on laps, but as a Say Please Cat, I do have a few rules. I need to give you consent to touch first, with soft blinks or leaning in slightly.
I may only be able to tolerate a few strokes at a time as I can sometimes get overstimulated, so I need someone open to learning my body language to help.
I’ve had bad experiences in the past with other animals, so I would like to be your One and Only princess. I have plenty of love and play to go around! I would also do best in a mature household where my boundaries and body language can be respected.
My ideal family will give me time to get to know you and feel safe with you in a quiet space that is mine. My superhero is someone who loves me unconditionally and patiently works with me to understand my signals.
I need to stay on my gastrointestinal health food to help keep my tummy happy and healthy, which I come with a three month supply of.
I’m a TLC kitty, which means I’d love to meet you at least twice so I can get to know you! I’ve been with Happy Cats Haven for a while, so I’ll need at least one month in my very own Safe Room so I can bond with you and be more confident in my new home!
My shelter team will also help set us up for success with a TLC Kitty Kit which includes a home installation, a top/side loading carrier, a mini class in Hands Off Handling, my favorite toys & bedding, 2 months of food/litter/treats, up to 1 year of professional behavioral counseling if needed.
I can be adopted for $60 which includes my spay, vaccinations, microchip, food and litter starter kit, and a free well-kitty checkup to help you get started.
