Hi there, I’m Coreopsis! My friends call me Cory, of course, but I’m named after the golden wildflower that blankets our foothills in summer. I’m that rare female orange tabby, with sea green eyes that don’t miss a thing.
One look into my eyes and you’ll see the courage and persistence it took for me to get here. I was rescued by a kind Happy Cats friend after I followed home her neighbor, desperate to find a family. He sprayed me with water, but she took me in and brought me here.
You can tell by my tipped ear badge of courage that I’ve been surviving on the street. But you can also tell by the way I turn on the purrs and headbonks any time someone is kind that when I was a little ginger kitten, I had people who loved me.
I will probably be your favorite little Snuggle Bunny, cuddling on laps and following you around like any little Kitty Admin, supervising whatever you’re into.
With my rough time on the street, I had a mouthful of bad teeth that were removed by my friends here. I’ve healed up nicely and am putting on much-needed weight. My lovely ginger coat is getting shiny again.
And speaking of kittens, I know all about playtime! Get out those sparkle wands or Cat Dancers and watch me channel my inner kitten into pounces and bounds.
I’m a confident little lady of about 8, so should do well with people of all ages. I will probably do fine with another cat and may be OK with a quiet, cat-friendly dog friend.
It’s a measure of my hope and faith that I can still love humans, even when some were not so kind. I’m so ready to give my heart away to a kind and loving family. Will that be you?
I can be adopted for $120 which includes my spay, vaccinations, microchip, food and litter starter kit, a free well-kitty checkup to help you get started and of course that full mouth extraction.
