Hi there. My name is Clover, and I am a beautiful 7 year old dilute tortie girl with a soft heart and so much love to give.
My foster mom calls me a real love bug, and it’s true. I adore gentle pets, kind voices, and spending time with my people. When I get especially happy and relaxed during petting time, I may even drool a little. It’s just one of my silly ways of showing how content I feel.
I have been through quite a lot of change recently. My beloved pet parents both passed away within a short time of each other, and I also lost the kitty brother I had spent my life with. After that, I moved into a new home for a while, but all of those big life changes were very confusing and stressful for me.
Because of everything I went through, I had a hard time settling in for a while. I wasn’t eating very well and sometimes missed the litter box when I felt overwhelmed. But now that I am in a calmer environment with my foster family, I am eating nicely again, especially when there is yummy wet food involved, and I am using my litter box just fine.
I am a very friendly and affectionate girl, but I do appreciate having a quiet, safe space when I first arrive somewhere new. Once I know I am safe, my loving personality really shines through. I will likely need a little time in a cozy safe room at first while I adjust to my new home and family.
I do have a few little quirks that make me extra charming. I actually like to sleep in my carrier because it feels like a safe and cozy den, and I absolutely love catnip treats. Those are a quick way to win me over. I also really enjoy wet food and will happily show up when I hear that can open.
Because I may have spent my life with another kitty companion, I might enjoy having a feline friend again, but it would have to be just the right gentle match for me. I may also do best as your one and only pet where I can soak up all the love and attention.
What I am really hoping for now is a peaceful forever home where I can feel secure, loved, and cherished again. If you have a soft spot for sweet tortie girls and are willing to give me a little time to settle in, I promise to reward you with purrs, affection, and lots of love.
