Hi there, I’m Cleo — a 6-year-old long-haired beauty with a luxuriously fluffy coat and a heart just as soft. I’m a shy girl at first, the kind who prefers to take things slow and observe from a safe spot until I know I can trust you. Life hasn’t always been easy, so I need a patient person who will let me come out of my shell in my own time.
When I first arrive home, I’ll probably find a quiet corner to hide in while I get used to all the new sights and sounds. But don’t worry — with gentle words, calm energy, and a little patience, I’ll start to peek out and show you who I really am. Once I know I’m safe, I transform into one of the most affectionate cats you’ll ever meet. My shelter friends I’m “sweet as pecan pie,” and their not wrong — I love quiet cuddles, gentle pets, and being close to the people I trust.
I’m looking for a peaceful home where I can feel secure. I don’t do well with dogs or small children — they’re just a bit too much for me — but I’m fine with other cats who respect my space. I don’t mind sharing a home as long as I can still have my own cozy nooks and quiet time.
I’m also a very clean girl and appreciate a tidy litter box (or two or three!). Keeping things neat makes me feel comfortable and cared for.
