Hi world, I’m Benny! I’m a muscular, super confident handsome Tuxedo boy with big green eyes, silky black coat and cute white socks!

My foster mom took me in when my owner could no longer care for me. Happy Cats always recommends that cats stay indoors for their safety (with the options of catios and harness training for walks) and the safety of small wildlife.

However, I have been an indoor/outdoor cat my whole life and will only be happy with daily outside time. My neighborhood is no longer safe for me so I’m looking for a family who has a safer outside situation.

If you have a big garden/property, and/or a large catio and provide me instruction on when I can be outdoors, I will be the happiest cat EVER! My foster mom has harness trained me, and while I will tolerate walking “you”, I would prefer to have a little more freedom.

I even come with a breakaway collar with bells, and a Cat Stop collar cover that birds (and people) can see.  I think I look regal, so please don’t laugh!

Unlike most barn cats, I adore people too! It’s important to me to have a family I can sleep inside with, sharing purrs and pets. While I’m very friendly, and will eventually give you head butts and leg rubs to claim you as “mine” once I get to know you, I’m not the biggest lap cat, but I might settle into one over time.

I’m about 6 years old, but still have lots and lots of “kitten” energy, and love to zoom around the house, bounce around and get up high where I can see my domain.  Another confident, friendly, playful cat (or cats) would be great.

I also like to play with my people (especially feather tipped wand toys under rag rugs or high where I can leap and show off)!  I did live with a small dog, and would probably do OK with calm, non-aggressive bigger dogs with a gentle introduction.

I have a big personality to match my stature –everyone in the neighborhood knew and loved me (and were more than willing let me into their house, give me pets, snacks, maybe a nap, until I wanted to go out again).  They called me the “Mayor”! I’ll do well in just about any home that can offer me regular, supervised outside time.

I am already neutered and vaccinated, so I’m ready to go. This is a courtesy post to put me in touch with my new family, so please tap here for an Adoption Application, then contact Happy Cats at 719-362-4600 to set up my meet-&-greet. I can’t wait to meet you and start our new lives together!
