Meet our gorgeous ginger siblings, Maple and Aspen.
These two are a stunning bonded pair of deep orange tabbies with emerald eyes, plush coats, and those adorable tufty ears that hint at their fancy Maine Coon cousins. Born around 7/1/2019, they are the perfect blend of playful and settled, ready to bring warmth, companionship, and a whole lot of love into the right home.
They came to Happy Cats after losing their beloved guardian, and after more than one transition, they are truly ready for a permanent, stable home where they can finally feel safe for good. They previously lived in a spacious home where they were deeply cherished and even enjoyed a secure outdoor cat run.
Because of everything they’ve been through, they are looking for a calm, committed home, ideally owned rather than rented, with someone who is around often to give them the companionship they love so deeply.
Maple is the larger of the two, with rich, darker orange tones across his face, huge muzzle puffs & large expressive eyes. He’s a total lovebug who will happily curl up on your lap or sleep at your hip at night, purring you to sleep.
During the day, he’s your loyal shadow, following you from room to room and settling in wherever you are, especially if there’s a soft blanket involved. He also has a charmingly goofy side and is known to carry around socks, towels, or clothes while proudly announcing his discoveries.
Aspen is the softer-featured beauty with the slimmer face, gentle eyes, and a quiet little meow. She may be a bit shy at first, but once she feels safe, she absolutely melts into affection.
She loves to knead soft blankets, roll over for gentle tummy rubs, and curl up in your lap for cozy naps. She enjoys playing with wand toys, springs, and other interactive toys with her people.
Both Maple and Aspen are incredibly social and devoted to their people. They will greet you, follow you from room to room, and happily keep you company throughout the day like the sweetest little companions. In the evenings, they love to curl up beside you or in your lap, and at night they’ll often sleep in bed with you.
They do best as the only pets in the home, as they prefer to have all the love and attention to themselves. They would thrive in a quiet household with adults or possibly respectful teenagers who understand their need for a calm environment and a little time to settle in.
These two still enjoy playtime, especially wand toys with their people, along with springs, tunnels, and lounging on tall cat trees. They also love having access to a safe catio or cat run, where they can relax, watch birds, and enjoy the fresh air while staying safe. A home that can offer a similar setup would make them incredibly happy.
Maple and Aspen come with everything you need to help them settle in, including their cat trees, water fountains, carriers, toys, litter boxes, and even their catio setup if your home allows.
We love keeping best friends together, so our Friends and Family Discount lets this bonded pair go home with an adoption fee of $180. This includes their spay and neuter, microchips, vaccinations, food and litter starter kits, and a free well-kitty checkup with one of our partner vets.
Maple and Aspen have been through a lot, but their hearts are still wide open. They are just waiting for that one quiet home where they can finally stay, be loved, and never have to say goodbye again.
