Purrs of Penrose

by

Handsome Penrose was rescued from the Broadmoor Golf Course 11 years ago by a kind Happy Cats supporter when his ginger mom had her kittens there.

He and his siblings were helped along with socializing and positive reinforcement in foster care and later with the help of volunteers.

A charming flamepoint catolescent with big blue eyes, it didn’t take long for him to be adopted by a nice family. We heard he was doing well and years passed.

Then in 2026, we hired Ari to help at the coffeeshop and the Haven. She asked if we remembered Penrose. How could we forget?! Like his longhaired mom, he filled out to maximum floofiness.

She was 8 when her family adopted him, and now she’s with us, helping more generations of Happy Cats find their own families!

Penrose got a kitten friend named Piper who is the perfect sleek black complement to his floofiness. They love to play and snuggle each other and their family.

Ari says, “He’s so sweet, he almost never stops purring anytime he’s near one of us.

He’s a total momma’s boy too, and he keeps a close eye on all of us whenever he isn’t napping.”
