Hi! We’re Prairie and Belle, two best friends who are looking for a quiet, loving home where we can stay together forever.
Our journeys to Happy Cats were a little different, but we found each other along the way and became inseparable. Belle was once a feral mama raising kittens in a community cat colony. After her babies were safe and grown, she got the chance to start a new life indoors. She’s still learning that people can be trusted, but she loves being part of the action, playing with toys, and spending time near her favorite humans.
Prairie came from a neglectful situation and needed time to learn what it felt like to be cared for. She knows exactly what she likes and doesn’t like, and she prefers affection on her own terms. She’s confident, independent, and a wonderful companion once she feels comfortable.
The best thing that ever happened to us was finding each other. We’re always together, whether we’re exchanging head bonks, rubbing against each other, sharing a nap, or just hanging out side by side. We are founding members of the Mutual Admiration Society and take our duties very seriously. Think Thelma and Louise, except our adventures mostly involve cozy gossip sessions, bird watching, and finding the best nap spots in the house.
We’re both sensitive to loud noises and sudden movements, so we’ll need a little time to settle into a new home. But once we feel safe, we’ll show you just how sweet we can be. We find comfort and confidence in each other, and having one another makes new experiences much less scary.
We’re hoping for a patient family willing to give us the time we need to blossom. In return, you’ll get two loyal little ladies who share a beautiful bond and will fill your home with quiet companionship, gentle affection, and twice the love.
