Harvey’s big heart

by

Hart was rescued by our friends at Harley’s Hope Foundation from being abandoned in Black Forest. A big sweet guy, he was being beat up by the local cats.

Shy at first, he never lost faith in people and would constantly make biscuits to show you how happy he was.

John was looking for a full-time companion after losing his cat of many years, and Hart fit the bill purrfectly!

Now known as Harvey, he just celebrated his anniversary with John, or as John puts it, he entered his second year of permitting him to continue sharing his domain.

John says, “However, he isn’t arrogant regarding the situation and is almost always very close by, following me every time I make a move, so I guess he thinks that he needs to make sure that nothing unfortunate befalls me. (One Smart Feline).

Harvey is not a “Lap Cat” but will gladly share your armchair if you move over a tad, or perhaps he’ll chose to commandeer the footstool, or on occasions perch alongside you on the arm of the armchair. ….he decides!

Although still somewhat wary of strangers he now will approach them and that progress that is good to see.
All in all, it is a pleasure and entertaining having him around, even though I have long given up on my ever having a neatly made bed in the future. (He’s got a “Thing” about Duvets, Pillows and such?) You can see how difficult he finds it to relax 😻!

I think he might keep me.
