Hi there! Meet Penne and Orzo, a lovable sibling duo with perfectly complementary personalities. They came to Happy Cats after being rescued, trying to survive outside. Now, they are ready to find a patient and loving family who will appreciate them just as they are.
Penne is a spirited and independent black-and-white girl with a big personality. She is what the humans call a “Say Please Cat,” meaning she prefers to be asked before receiving pets. Penne is a side car kitty! She values her personal space (as a princess should). Her spunky, confident nature means she loves to explore high perches and cozy, private spaces where she can watch the world from a safe distance. Penne is a cat who knows what she wants and isn’t shy about letting it be known. Oh…..and she absolutely ADORES her brother!
Orzo, her gentle giant big brother, balances her boldness with his calm and sweet demeanor. He is a quiet and affectionate soul who loves lap time, gentle pets, being near his people, and of course, Penne. Orzo is a little more trusting from the start and enjoys calm, soothing voices and slow, gentle movements. Together, they make a wonderful pair — Penne’s spunky independence and Orzo’s gentle sweetness make them the perfect match.
They both adore playtime, especially with the laser dot (always finish with a small meat treat) and wand toys that let them chase and pounce safely. Play helps build their confidence and reminds them how fun life can be when they are feeling secure.
Because of their early life outside, they are cautious about new experiences and loud noises. They thrive with a calm and peaceful routine, they are looking for a home with no dogs or young children.
Penne and Orzo are both about 2 years old and absolutely bonded to each other — they need to be adopted together. Their adoption fee is $180 for the both of them and includes spay/neuter, vaccinations, microchips, food and litter starter kits, plus a free well-kitty checkup with partner vets. They also come with a nice big top-loading carrier each and the tall scratching post they love.
