Last winter, a very thin and bedraggled dilute tortie lady showed up at the home of a Happy Cats volunteer who lives on the edge of town, where wildlife prowl. They brought her in and named her Stripe because of the adorable peach stripe on her nose.
More fearful of her foster dad at first, she quickly settled back into her inside life, showing she had been a happy inside cat who was abandoned in that open space.
One of our Guardian Angels, Lucy, proved to be an angel for Stripe when she fell in love with her at her foster home!
She renamed her Graycie and says she loves looking outside from the safety of her window. She’s even getting spoiled with her new favorite brand of tuna cat food.
She now has her very own cat tree to safely watch the world from.
