Meet our two colorful sisters, Mochi and Kimchi! Mochi is the ginger lady with the adorable mustache and her sister Kimchi is the calico with the white mask. They came to us at Happy Cats when their people could no longer care for them.
They are about the most gentle and affectionate little ladies you’ll meet, but you’ll have to earn it! They start out as Funny Valentines, observing from a distance until they know you’re kind.
As Snuggle Bunnies, Mochi will usually be the first one to appear with a soft mew and lots of purrs. Mochi will even touch noses with you once you have her seal of approval.
Kimchi will follow close behind. She is much shyer and will need a home with patient cat parents that are wiling to let her initiate affection on her own terms. She likes to have cozy spaces to snuggle up with Mochi and feel safe. Once she has graced you with her presence, she likes to do “flops” by your feet and makes biscuits with her dainty paws in the air. She prefers when you sit on the ground with her and she does not like to be picked up.
Both girls are lap kitties! They are looking for a couple of cozy laps to keep warm for the winter.
At 6 years old, both ladies are still youngsters who love to channel their inner kittens with gentle play. They appreciate a stick under the rug and of course a Cat Catcher always gets their attention.
They’ll do best in a quiet home without a lot of noise to send them back into hiding, so no small children or dogs please. Mochi has been curious about other Happy Cats, so they may do well with another cat or two, as long as they are as nice as these two gentlewomen are.
They have been through a lot together and are a bonded pair. You can adopt them together for $120 which includes their spays, vaccinations, microchips, food and litter starter kits, and a free well-kitty checkup each to help you get started. They have also both had dentals, so they’re pearly whites are all caught up! They’re saving up lots of purrs for when they get to meet you!
