Adaptable Brooke

by

Beautiful pastel tortie Brooke came to Happy Cats when her guardians, one of our original founders, decided they needed to downsize and had the wrenching task of deciding who to keep.

She was one of our first cats on 21st Street. In fact, she and a couple of other clever ladies figured out how to pop open the ceiling tiles when we first moved in, our original Ceiling Cats!

She found a home with a nice senior lady and was happy for several years until the lady died. Her family returned her to us so she could find someone equally nice. She was much more confident, eve regal this time around.

It didn’t take long before her new family found her. Heather and her family wanted an affectionate kitty to love and Brooke fit right in! She slept with them from the very first night, following her new people everywhere and grabbing laptime whenever she can.

Heather says, “She’s spoiled with love and treats and loves her toys. She enjoys basking in the sun on our balcony when we are out there.”

Our cats’ lives can span a human generation and they do their best to keep up with the changes we put them through. At 9 years, Brooke still has half of her life to share, purring on laps with her new family and watching their son grow up.

Thanks for giving this pretty green-eyed lady another chance!
