When Oliver and Joker’s guardians had to downsize, they were heartbroken to leave them behind and begged for them to stay together.
We got the call from a partner shelter that Oliver had mouth issues and would need more than they could afford to give him. At only 2 and 3 years old, they both already have a painful condition called stomatitis.
Conventional treatment is to extract all teeth, but post-pandemic medications are giving us more options.
For almost the same cost as a full dental extraction, we are treating them with an anti-viral that has proven to stop the inflammation. The treatment takes 3 months, but the chance of saving their teeth is worth it.
Our loving foster families help us with both treatment time and post-dental care by monitoring pain and making sure they get back on track with eating.
We have also just adopted out our 14th senior cat for 2026, lovable old Strider! Because of you, we were able to provide a much needed dental for him too.
We have a family of 5 more seniors waiting to come in from an eviction, all of whom will need dentals too. The need is great.
