Morty the Miracle Cat: Beating the Odds Against FIP

by

Morty, a sweet and spirited Happy Cats rescue, was diagnosed with FIP (Feline Infectious Peritonitis) about ten months ago. For many cats, this diagnosis is often fatal — but Morty’s family acted fast. They began the GS-441524 treatment protocol immediately, a 90-day course of daily pills paired with liver and kidney supplements to support his health.

The treatment was long, expensive, and emotionally taxing. But through it all, Morty remained brave, affectionate, and full of life. Now, he’s in his 90-day observation period, and his bloodwork has been flawless. Every sign points to a full recovery.

Morty isn’t just a survivor — he’s also a star. Last Halloween, he entered a costume contest and won first place Air Force-wide. His family says the happiness he brings them makes every effort worth it.

Morty’s journey is a reminder that with early treatment, determination, and love, even the toughest diagnoses can come with hope.
