Winning hearts with Amala & Benito

by

When Amala & Benito were rescued as wee kittens trying to survive outside after being orphaned, Amala was so scared it looked like she didn’t have any ears!

Our behavior volunteers went to work, winning their trust, and soon they showed us their happy, confident side.

Jacklyn and her husband had adopted Dora from Happy Cats in 2018, who had also been traumatized and left to die at one of our veterinarian partners.

They gave her a loving, happy life until she passed at 18, and were ready for more fur babies in their lives.

A year later, both kitties are getting along great with their dog friend Ruby.

Amala is coming out of her shell and comes to her people for affection several times a day.

Benito loves playing with balls and looking out windows with Amala.
