Greetings! I am Hera, named after the Greek Goddess and I consider myself as Queen of the Lobby Cats at Happy Cats Haven. I am a black beauty with longer silky hair and green eyes, all the floof and far less maintenance than my Maine Coon cousins.
I came to Happy Cats after a kind person helped rescue me from being abandoned outside in the cold.
I’m a confident little lady and prance around the lobby, keeping the other cats in line as the goddess I am. I’ll probably make a great little Kitty Admin at my new home as I do the same for you!
I’m affectionate on my own terms and you may pet me if I allow it. I prefer light hands on my head, neck, and back – but not my chest.
When there is a quiet moment in the day, I love to find and curl up in your lap but I will let you know if I also want pets while I am there or if I just want to be with you and bask in the warmth. Once in a while, If I am feeling extra lovey dovey, I will give kisses, asking for attention.
At only about 2 years old, I love playing in cardboard boxes and with a Cat Dancer zipping around the floor. Get out those kitty wands and watch me pounce and leap!
I should do fine in almost any home as long as the other animals are okay knowing who the real goddess is 😻. We don’t yet know how I am around dogs but a gentle introduction with a cat-savvy dog and we might have a chance to be friends. I think I would be happier as a spoiled princess with you all to myself, however.
