The family of adorable little tortico Mochi were heartbroken to have to return her, but their busy lifestyle was turning her from a sweet little kitten to a stressed and bitey catolescent. She was also too active and playful for their older cat, instead of the companion they hoped she’d be.
She was shy at first with us, but soon came out of her shell as long as she had her safe monster bed to retreat to!
Lauren and Connor were looking for an active single cat and little Mochi was a perfect fit! She’s still an active catolescent, so is learning how to adapt with her new family.
Lauren says, “Mochi has been loving her new home immensely. She spends time cuddling with us, and exploring downstairs (grown up free).
She has been very curious about her tortoise brother who is currently living inside due to the shifts in weather.
She got a 12 pack of springs from the Amazon truck (her favorite toy from the shelter), and loves to hang upside down on our open stairs while playing with the spring (very athletic).
She has recently been getting into everything we own, just recently chewed through our blinds lol! When we tell her it’s not okay, she is quick to feel bad & apologize by giving us all the snuggles.
She recently showed a very big interest in wet food and is enjoying her meals (while making biscuits). She also has been very accepting of paw massages, as we slowly try to clip her nails.
She’s a wonderful addition to our small family, and we love to see her get more and more comfortable with us and her new home. We are so lucky to have found each other!”
