Jupiter’s happy orbit

by

Little roly-poly Jupiter was being cared for by a kind neighbor after she was found abandoned and roaming the neighborhood, trying desperately to get inside and safe. The neighbor was allergic so couldn’t take her inside but she gave her a safe place in a garden shed and a feral cat for company. When her caregiver became ill, she called us to take her.

Jupie’s first few weeks were rough. She burrowed under her bed and froze in fear. A room finally opened up for her and we were finally able to see the sweet scared kitty underneath.

We had hope she would find a nice kitty friend in our quieter Boomer Room, but she seemed to misread everyone’s cues. A bit of sight impairment probably didn’t help. Finally we decided to find someone who was looking for a single cat companion all to themselves.

Trudy had helped with other stray cats in her neighborhood, so she knew how scared they could become, but how much they needed love too. It was love at first sight with quirky, sassy Jupie!

She wasted no time remembering the pleasures of being a housecat! In just a few days, Trudy was kissing the top of her head.

Not long after that she was back to her happy, playful self with her very own toys!

In a variation on the Kitty Admin theme, Trudy now has her very own Kitty Librarian.

After all those years out in the cold, think of how happy she was to celebrate Christmas with her perfect human.

We even planted a Jupiter’s Beard in her honor at Happy Cats. We can’t wait to see them both continue to blossom!
