Callie, the best animal friend I’ve ever had

by

Callie had to come back to us because her family was unable to care for her any longer. She was very quiet at the Haven and took several weeks to regain her confidence. When Augustine came in to meet her, it was a purrfect match!

“She makes me so happy, and I like to think I do the same for her. I’ve started harness training her.

She’s a little queen and a diva. She yells at me when she thinks she deserves more attention (which is always, because she deserves all the attention). She has the cutest little voice. Whenever I’m sick, she snuggles with me.

She’s one of my best friends, and hands down the best animal friend I’ve ever had. Thank you so much for helping bring her into my life.

With love,

Augustine and Callie”

And a year later, she says, “Callie is thriving. We’ve started regulating her food schedule with consistent feeding times and an enrichment bowl, and she’s a much healthier weight (though still cute and chubby). My partner 3D printed her some enrichment toys, and she still loves the cat wand that I got her with.

We got her a new cat tower recently, and she likes to sit on it and watch TV with us in the evenings. She is my princess, and I know that she loves me, too, because she gives me lots of cuddly, drooly headbutts and sleeps right next to my head at night.
She’s an absolute joy. Thank you for caring for her before she could come to me.”
