NO MORE CAT WRANGLING:
Techniques for Force Free Feline Handling
This intimate hands-on workshop will teach how to approach, handle, and restrain cats using Force Free techniques. Every participant will receive one-on-one feedback from Tabitha throughout the workshop!
Tabitha will discuss how to identify the signs of fear, anxiety, and stress in our cats. She will guide attendees through a Force Free exam from start to finish using demonstrations, interactive discussions and exercises.
She will discuss tools and handling techniques that can help reduce fear, anxiety, and stress in cats. Making the shelter, veterinary clinic and home an overall less stressful and happier place for cats, visitors, employees, and volunteers.
When a cat’s fear & anxiety is reduced, animals will be more adoptable and more likely to stay in long-term, loving homes.
This course is approved by the Colorado Association of Certified Veterinary Technicians (CACVT) for TWO hours of Non-Medical CE Credit, valid during the July 1, 2020 – June 30, 2022 certification cycle.
Tabitha Kucera is an Elite Fear Free and Low Stress Handling Certified Registered Veterinary Technician, CCBC, and KPA-CTP. She is a trainer-mentor for Cat Pawsitive Pro, serves as the co-chair of Pet Professional Guild’s Cat Committee, is the vice president of the International Association of Animal Behavior Consultants, and the President elect for the Society of Veterinary Behavior Technicians
